The Eastman Kodak Panoramic No. 4 Model D took a coated paper
negative of 10 inches by 5 inches. This camera had a rotating lens
that would sweep 180 degrees in one second. It was used to take the
photo of a large group of people, one hundred or more. Sometimes the
camera was used for taking a large object like a bridge or
locomotive. The 11 inch wide by 6 inch deep camera did not curve or
distort the edges unlike today's wide angle (28mm) lens.
