PH20 1870 Glass Slide

This glass slide, 4 inches by 3.5 inches, was illuminated by a kerosene lantern inside a slide projector. The photo was contact printed from another glass positive image photo in Paris and distributed by T.H. Allister of New York City. Audiences were amazed as it brought the world to them.
