An unknown archaeologist at Stanford University strikes a pose with two unwrapped mummies from ancient Egypt about 3000 BC.

Although x-rays had been used from 1896, most Europeans and Americans ,through ignorance, unwrapped mummies using the linen for paper and medicinal purposes.
